This client suffered a sudden and unexpected Escape of Liquid, while they were not at home for the evening. They returned home to find a large portion of their home had been flooded. SHBR Group worked with the Strata Managers and the client to enable access to remove wet and damaged parquetry flooring and were engaged privately by the Strata to complete drying and restoration of the Building portion of the claim. As the client had installed the parquetry themselves, the flooring was deemed a contents item for their contents policy.

To ensure a speedy and efficient outcome, SHBR Group managed the initial removal and make safe portion of the claim to enable the insured to remain in their home after a short period of temporary accommodation whilst the claim was being determined, and also worked privately with the Strata Body to ensure that the Structure was dry and remediation/repair could continue as quickly as possible. We also worked with the owner privately to refinish the undamaged sections of the flooring to bring the home back to as new condition! Another happy customer for SHBR Group.
